The Disadvantages of an Elite Education →
It’s nice to see that this article is making the internet rounds again! Written by an ex-Yale professor, this piece was the basis for a real-life event that Lois Beckett and I coordinated (the Crimson’s coverage is here). We brought William Deresiewicz to Harvard to sit on a panel with students and hash out Harvard’s (de)merits with a standing room only crowd of over 100 people....
Are you kidding? I feng shui’d the SHIT out of this room!
– Nina, my roommate, after declaring that she is a feng shui genius, despite my observation that her room is a mess 99% of the time.

Most people have an upper limit for a reasonable commute time. I like thinking I can get most places in 20 - 30 minutes, which is true for work, and true for hanging out with friends, and for most anything else I do. But this is a pretty hilarious thing to do to (for, even, because they get more work to their name) over-achieving interns. And, at least they...

I made french onion soup!
Because I had 7 onions, and some of them were sprouting already. And if I do say so myself, I did a pretty fine job with the soup (the recipe I used is from Epicurious)
For lunch, I had a spring salad with spring greens, dried cranberries, blueberries, goat cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette.
I have a significant amount of greens left, though, so I think tomorrow I’ll have it with peaches...
