I made french onion soup!

Because I had 7 onions, and some of them were sprouting already. And if I do say so myself, I did a pretty fine job with the soup (the recipe I used is from Epicurious)

For lunch, I had a spring salad with spring greens, dried cranberries, blueberries, goat cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette.

I have a significant amount of greens left, though, so I think tomorrow I’ll have it with peaches :)

And I have a boatload of soup left, so if anyone wants some… come take my soup!

I think I may attempt to start a summer cooking circle, so that this situation (cooking too much soup) happens every week and is alleviated (by sharing and receiving food from friends).

In my attempts to cook for myself and thus eat healthy, fresh, and local, there will be a lot more posts about food popping up on this here blog over the summer.
