Sexiest Instrument of Day: Calvin Harris promotes his new single, Ready For The Weekend, by rubbing conductive ink on pretty girls in bikinis and playing them like a synthesizer (or Humanthesizer if you will).
Science!:
The instrument consists of 34 pads on the floor which have been painted with the conductive ink and connected to a computer via some clever custom electronics. The performers stand on the pads, and touch hands to complete a circuit and trigger a sound. Different combinations of pads trigger the different sounds needed to play the track.

So, Calvin Harris has to be THE most awkward musician alive today. Even though he’s pretty cute and has a British accent, he somehow manages to out-awkward Mika (posted below). The video starts out boring, mostly due to Harris’s awkward-fest, but get to 1:30 and it’ll be sweet. And cleverer than I ever thought this guy (who built his career on the line, “I get all the girls,” a statement which I seriously question) could be.
