So you all know by now what’s up with Prop 8 and what happened. If you don’t, Prop 8 was a passed last week to amend the California state constitution to define marriage as between a man and a woman, and to ban gay marriage. This was a huge step back for the state as it tends to set trends and create progression for the rest of the country. I’ve written about my anger and disgust in a previous blog, but this entry today is to show a short video made shortly before the vote. I just wanted to show how stupid some proponent’s arguments were, plus the people at the end are my coworkers and boss at the East Bay Express.California’s a big place, but it’s hard to believe there’s room for so much hate.
This makes me so sad. Deeply sad. I’ve heard of a girl being beat up and hospitalized by some of the protestors, which is so crazy. Most of all, I would like to know how Prop 8 passed.
